The makers of Freckle Time Tracking have created a beautiful and informative guide about getting started with Active Merchant called Jump Start Credit Card Processing. The guide is free to download and jam packed with information and great design. There is even a checklist for getting a merchant account near the end, which will definitely easy the pain of getting started.

    Hello,

    We are working with Active Merchant in a project where there are cases when line items in an order will not all ship at the same time. With other gateways such as Authorize.net we have the ability to capture line items at different times up to the fully authorized amount. However with the SAGE gateway this seems to not be possible:

    The +money+ amount is not used. The entire amount of the

      # initial authorization will be captured.
  def capture(money, reference, options = {})
    post = {}
    add_reference(post, reference)
    commit(:capture, post)
  end

    We have done a bit of research into this and it seems that Sage does support partial capturing and I was wondering if this is something you have any ideas or suggestions about?
